SUNRAYSIA’s football umpiring ranks have witnessed a generational transformation in the last year, with a growing influx of younger officials stepping into senior game roles.

Gavin Slade, field umpiring coach with the Sunraysia Football Umpires Association (SFUA), said the recent unprecedented rise in umpire numbers under the age of 40 has boosted the depth and positive energy within the SFUA.
