BAMBILL stayed within striking distance of the top two sides in the Millewa Football Netball League Women with a relatively comfortable away victory over Cardross at the weekend.

The Saints were trailing the Lions by four points at the first break in the low-scoring affair but held Cardross to just 1.1 for the rest of the match to record a 40-point triumph.
