FORMER Sunraysia footballer Warwick Williams has been caught up in a Northern Territory Football League controversy that saw a teenage umpire thrown to the ground.

Williams was reported and sent from the field for the remainder of the match following the incident as his team PINT went down to Southern Districts in an elimination final.
