Jackson Fox to debut with young Bloods

FORMER South Mildura junior Jackson Fox will make his debut for West Adelaide today in the SANFL under-18 competition when they take on Glenelg at Hisense Stadium.

Fox, who has been selected at centre half-back, was sidelined for most of the pre-season after having his right ankle reconstructed in January.

The promising youngster has spent the past two years at boarding school in Adelaide, playing for his school team Sacred Heart College and, after a number of impressive performances, was invited to join the Bloods’ junior program.

Despite the ankle setback, Fox has worked hard to regain fitness and last weekend played for Edwardstown in the Adelaide Footy League.

The Fox family has close ties with the West Adelaide Football Club, with Jackson’s father, Denny, playing with the club.
