NEW South Wales Senator Perin Davey's proposed water supply Bill would not fill a gap in water legislation, according to Dried Fruits Australia chairman Mark King.

Senator Davey visited Mildura on Thursday and met stakeholders to discuss the potential Bill, proposing the Commonwealth Environmental Water Holder release 50 per cent of its water on to the market in certain "drought scenarios".
