MILLEWA farmer Ian Arney welcomed Mildura Council's rate relief announcement, saying it would provide much-needed support to drought-stricken farmers who earned little to no income this year.
Millewa and Carwarp dryland farmers will receive rate relief this financial year, after councillors unanimously supported handing them a $420,000 lifeline last week.
