WITH the weather taking a turn for the cooler, authorities have issued a call for landholders to play it safe when it comes to burn-offs.

As part of those cautions, acting CFA Chief Officer Garry Cook said people should register their controlled burns of stubble, grasses, weeds, and unwanted undergrowth on agricultural, horticultural, and residential properties.
