Mildura misses heavy rain, but good news for Darling River

MILDURA recorded just 6.6 millimetres of rain on Saturday, falling well short of predicted totals of up to 40mm.

But dry outback towns in the far west of New South Wales received their heaviest rainfalls in years, which is expected to help flows along the Darling River and into Menindee Lakes.
