SOME farmers in the drought-stricken Millewa have renewed hope for a good crop this season, following Wednesday's soaking.

Werrimull grain grower Ian Arney said a 27mm rainfall – on top of 48mm recorded during February's thunderstorm – had replenished depleted soil moisture at his property.
