WINTER crop production in the southern Mallee is forecast to be well above average in 2019-20 following "timely and sufficient" rainfall.
The Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics and Sciences (ABARES) February crop report, released on Tuesday, said production in most cropping regions outside the northern Mallee and the north-eastern parts of the Victorian cropping region were boosted by the falls.
