SUNRAYSIA Mallee Ethnic Communities Council (SMECC) celebrated 40 years of providing service to culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities across the region, with a lunch on Friday.

SMECC president Redgina Balchin said the organisation felt it was important to recognise the impact it had had on the community.
