DREARY weather did not discourage an influx of children attending their first nippers session of the season on Sunday.

Mildura Life Saving Club's nippers program welcomed 35 new children to the session on Sunday morning, adding to its 60 existing members.

Club captain Dennis McGloughlan said he was pleased with the influx of participants, especially given the disappointing weather.
