LITTORE, Salvatore “Mario”

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mario, on January 15, 2022, aged 85 years at home in Mildura. Much loved husband of 60 years to Aurora. Dad of Vince, Mark, David and Michael. Father-in-law of Sharyn and Tanya. Beloved Nonno of Claire, Rachel, Rebecca, Tom, Antony, Pippa, Liam, Genevieve, Jessica, Stephanie (dec), Ebony, Ally, Grace, Lottie, Zavier, Archie and Oscar. Nonno in law of Lawrence, Nick and Annabel. Great-grand-father of Ilario and Samuel. A truly gentle man. May he rest in peace. Mario, The love of my life, my husband, my best friend. We had 60 years of life with all the ups and downs, but we did it all together. We were blessed with four sons who gave us 17 beautiful grandchildren and two great grandchildren. You lived a full life. The last five years you struggled and I watched your health decline and you live with pain. You leave a giant hole in my life, but I take great comfort in knowing you're in a world with no more suffering. Rest in peace my love, until we meet again. Your loving wife, Aurora. ~ Dad/Nonno, Thank you for all you have done for us and the sacrifices you made to give us the best opportunities in life. We will remember all the times that you were by our sides, to help and support, to understand and celebrate. Thank you for teaching us the value of hard work, good judgment, respect, courage and integrity. It has been the simple things, the laughter and smiles, all the fun times we shared, that have created so many memories that we will never forget. No words can explain how much you meant to us. You will be greatly missed every single day. Love, Mick, Tanya, Zavier, Archie and Oscar. ~ Dad/Nonno, The last 12 months has been hard to watch, your strength and courage had to be seen to be believed, even to the last day. When we last spoke, we asked "How you going" you replied "Not bad, not bad". You were a man of few words but said what had to be said. We will miss your sense of humour. You have shown us the true meaning of the word loyalty and the value of family. In Heaven with Steph now. Love, David, Sharyn, Jess, Ebony, Alle, Grace and Lottie. To Dad/Nonno, You taught us the true meaning of strength and determination while also showing us unconditional love each and every day. We are forever blessed to have so many years of joyful, funny and happy memories with you. You had a lifetime of showing hard work and resilience, we take comfort in knowing you are now resting in peace. We will miss the way you made us laugh, the way you were always interested in what was happening and above all, your company. Love you forever and always. Mark, Claire, Daniel, Rachael, Nick, Rebecca, Lawrence, Ilario, Samuel Mario and Oscar. ~ Dad/Pop, A beautiful man has left us. Dad to me you were my father, my friend and my mentor. You taught and passed on the truly important values of life. You led by example and were always there. The good times, hard times and every day in between. Your smile, laughter, wicked sense of humour combined with your resolve - quiet, strong, resilient and wise. Family meant everything, your legacy is huge and memories that will last forever. Words simply cannot express how much I will miss you. Love, Vince. ~ To our Nonno, You have been such a great example of how to live a good life. You were always so interested in our lives and up for a chat. Your warmth, gentleness and dry jokes can never be replaced and we will never forget you. We will miss you Nonno.
