THE New South Wales Government has eased stay-at-home restrictions on Victorian border residents, with changes coming into effect from noon today.
From noon, Victorian residents living inside the border bubble will be able to travel to NSW's border region for more than the four basic reasons, after NSW health minister Brad Hazzard signed an amendment to the state's public health order overnight.
Under the exemption, Victorian border region residents can travel within the NSW side of the border bubble for any reason provided they have not travelled outside the border region in the past 14 days, Sunraysia Daily understands.
Victorian border residents may not travel further into NSW beyond the border bubble, which remains geographically the same as last year. A map can be found here.
Over the weekend, Victorians were barred from entering NSW except for essential shopping, caregiving, exercise and permitted work or education.
More to come.
