IRISH, English and Scottish backpackers were among the first to raise a glass to the return of having a few beers and some pub grub in Mildura on Thursday.

As pubs, restaurants and cafes welcomed back customers for the first time in nearly two months, a steady stream of customers flowed into The Setts ahead of "solid" bookings for outdoor dining over the next few days.
