WE may not see Yosemite Sam saddling up to catch filthy varmints at the Merbein Community Rodeo on October 11, but don't be too disappointed - swashbuckling cowboys and cowgirls mixed with energetic horses and fiery bulls should suffice.

The fully catered event sees contestants compete in bull riding, saddle bronc riding and barrel racing with the latter being open for women too.
