THE Shop, Distributive and Allied Employees' Association (SDA) has vowed to protect Kmart employees, after a suspicious fire forced the Mildura store to close indefinitely on Saturday.

SDA secretary Michael Donovan told Sunraysia Daily on Monday the union would seek an "urgent meeting" with Kmart to discuss the rights of employees.
