ALDI Australia says it aims to become the first supermarket chain in Australia to have 100 per cent of its operations powered by renewable energy by the end of next year, with the Mildura store leading the charge.

The project would include Australia's largest commercial solar roll-out, with 250 Aldi stores and distribution centres set to have solar installations by the end of this year.
