FOR the first time ever, the men's Mildura Heat team are CBL champions.

In a high-scoring affair, a decisive third quarter stunned Bendigo who held a narrow three point lead at the half but were overrun by Mildura who went on to win 105-94 in Melton.

The 26-14 run in the third term ultimately decided the game.

In every other quarter, there was no more than two points between the two teams.
