A TRIP to the movies remains a popular school holiday activity, keeping Mildura's Wallis Cinemas busy over mid-summer.

Cinema supervisor Demi Hewett said summer was always a busy time for the cinema, due both to school holidays and the wave of films released on Boxing Day.
