THE Mildura Arts Centre stage will light up with intricate backdrops, stellar costumes and a whimsical, magical vibe for the Mildura Ballet and Dance Guild's annual performance this weekend.

The first of the two-part showcase, debuting on Friday night and Saturday, will feature the junior classical students performing a rendition of Sleeping Beauty, a modern contemporary piece based on the fairytale Little Red Riding Hood, a hyped-up hip-hop piece based on the story of The Descendants and end with a magical jazz and tap adventure based on the story of The Magic Faraway Tree.
