THE inaugural winner of Alone Australia gave a free book talk on Sunday at Collins Booksellers.

Gina Chick is the third in a lineage of published Australian female writers, the daughter of Suzanne Chick, who wrote about discovering her birth mother was renowned columnist Charmian Clift.
