THE Mildura Eisteddfod Society hosted a conference at the weekend with societies across the country to discuss new ideas and promote the arts.

This year's Mildura Eisteddfod will be the 44th event, providing community members with the opportunity to showcase their talents on the big stage.

This is the second time the conference had been held in Mildura with the last held more than 10 years ago.
