Mildura arts centre, library and visitor centre to reopen

THREE popular Mildura Rural City Council facilities are set to reopen from Tuesday.

Council announced the Mildura Arts Centre, Mildura Library and Mildura Visitor Information and Booking Centre would reopen for limited hours after closing their doors two months ago due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The move to reopen these facilities comes after the Victorian Government decided to ease some coronavirus restrictions.

Council chief executive Sarah Philpott said staff had done an incredible amount of work behind the scenes to get these facilities back open for the community to enjoy.

"Staff and public safety is our number one priority, so we have put strict measures in place to ensure we're adhering to all the relevant guidelines and importantly, playing our part to help slow the spread of coronavirus," she said.

"We know the community has missed being able to access our facilities in person, and we're looking forward to welcoming people back through the doors."

MAC will be open from 10am to 4pm daily with the Cafe Bar open from 10am to 2pm.

The Mildura Library will be open for borrowing and returning items only, from Tuesday to Friday 1pm to 6pm and closed for the Queen's Birthday public holiday and the Mildura Visitor Information and Booking Centre will be open from Tuesday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm; Saturday to Sunday 9am to 5pm and closed Queen's Birthday public holiday.
