A HIGH alert warning for blue-green algae now covers a stretch of the Murray River from Red Cliffs to Wentworth.

An alert was already in place between Lock 11 and Red Cliffs this week before that was expanded to include Merbein on Wednesday and then further extended to Lock 12 at Wentworth on Thursday.
