Rates still huge burden for struggling farmers

A MILLEWA farmer is urging the State Government to review and alleviate council rates for farmers battling the crippling drought.

Third-generation sheep and grain farmer James O'Day welcomed the Federal Government's $1 billion drought stimulus package announcement this week, however said rate bills continued to be one of the biggest burdens farmers faced.
