MOTORISTS are being urged to stay alert behind the wheel as RACV claims data shows thousands of collisions involving kangaroos have been reported across Victoria in recent years.

RACV has reported that between 2021 and June 2025 more than 23,000 claims for kangaroo-related collisions were received by RACV Insurance, with the highest number, 5883, recorded last year.
