A MAN on a statewide ban from attending Bunnings Warehouse who tried his luck shoplifting a 20th time from the Mildura outlet has narrowly avoided a further term of imprisonment.

The Mildura Magistrates' Court was told 58-year-old Robb McKenzie had a "light-bulb" moment that his thieving ways had to stop shortly before admitting to the theft which took place on January 8
