IN FRONT of a large crowd of onlookers, locks of 55-year-old Ilknur Buchecker's hair fell to the floor on Sunday, as she had her head shaved for prostate cancer awareness.

Having lost her father and father-in-law to prostate cancer, she had set her mind on a public fundraising venture to encourage other men to get checked early.
