MILDURA Council has stopped short of supporting a push for the full completion of the original Murray Basin Rail Project, which aims to remove 25,000 truck movements on the crumbling road network each year.

A motion that the council write to both major parties seeking a post-election commitment to complete the project failed after claims that supporting documentation was "too political" and was not
