A MILDURA flying school student could be in hot water after a landing safety breach at Wentworth Aerodrome's closed airfield this week.

The chief executive of Mildura's International Flight Training Academy, Simon Clemence, said the Chinese student's "touch-and-go" landing about 3.30pm on Tuesday "shouldn't have happened".
