TREES have been illegally cut down and timber removed from parks and reserves between Mildura and Swan Hill, according to Parks Victoria.

A Parks Victoria spokesperson said some offenders have been entering public land at night and removing vehicle number plates to avoid detection, however anyone caught risks serious fines.
