MILDURA Rural City Council says it has taken the unprecedented impacts of drought and COVID-19 into account in proposing the maximum rate rise possible for the 2020-21 financial year.
Council's draft budget includes a 2 per cent average rate rise, $8 million in new borrowings to help with the construction of the Mildura South Regional Sporting Precinct and a $1.5 million economic recovery package in response to the Millewa drought and sand drifts and the coronavirus pandemic.
