MILDURA Brazilian Jiu Jitsu’s Jess Bertoli and Jorja Andriolas emerged as national champions after last weekend’s national Brazilian Jiu Jitsu titles in Melbourne.

Bertoli claimed gold in the 14-year-old female white/gray/yellow 56kg division, winning her final inside a minute via an arm bar while Andriolas saluted in the 11-year-old white belt 38kg division via a referee decision.

The pair were part of a 10-fighter contingent the gym sent to Melbourne – nine children and one adult – with eight returning with medals.
