VICTORIA is continuing to go it alone in its push for renewable energy, increasing its target to 50 per cent.
The move fulfils a Victorian Government promise made during last year’s state election despite criticism from the Federal Government over the reliability of renewables.
Increasing Victoria’s green energy target to 50 per cent in the next decade would save the average household $32 a year and businesses around $3100.
