Sunraysia growers are celebrating another good season in the dried fruit industry marked by near-perfect dehydration conditions.

Irymple’s Sunbeam Foods factory’s total crop reached between 14,000 and 15,000 tonnes, which was slightly down on the 18,000 from the bumper 2018 crop.

Sunbeam dried fruit supply manager David Swain said this year’s weather was on par with that of previous years, and growers had experienced four “very drying” years in a row.
