MILDURA residents can still dispose of a range of electrical items free of charge despite a state-imposed ban on sending e-waste to landfill from the start of this month.

As a result of the ban, Mildura Rural City Council has imposed fees and charges to cover the cost of transporting and processing e-waste.

Residents are charged only for mater­ial that needs to be transported and reprocessed.
