DESPITE some issues, Koorlong equestrian rider Clancy Lyons came back from the Australian Youth National Dressage Championships in Sydney last weekend with valuable experience.
The 17-year-old and her horse, Conrad, made the long trip to Sydney, not without a few issues along the way, but then a back injury limited Conrad’s ability on the first day.
“He was working beautifully and then he was quite sore, as soon as she (Clancy) got into her first test and got to a certain part it was obviously like a pinched nerve or whatever, so he started bucking and she had to retire from the first one,” Clancy’s Mum, Julie, said.
