FORTY-two engineering students from 10 countries will spend two weeks learning about water management in the Murray-Darling Basin.
The University of Melbourne is bringing the students to get a first-hand experience as part of its international river basin management subject.
Mallee Regional Innovation Centre (MRIC) director Professor Michael Stewardson is leading the intensive subject and said it was difficult to understand the realities of irrigation industries in the classroom.
