THE final round of Scratch Pennant teed off at Coomealla on Sunday with Riverside Gold, needing a win, first up on the tee against Coomealla Blue to ensure their finals spot in the Division 2 final.

Coomealla got off to a good start, which raised the heart rate of the visitors, with in-form Pennant player of 2019 Matt Bottomley winning, 6/5 against Tim Peterson.

When Aaron Blake won 3/1 for Coomie against Josiah Trinder it was going to take a massive effort from Riverside to get over the line.
