SHARMEEN Sandhu’s parents have never seen her smile bigger or brighter then the moment she first laid eyes on her brand new bike.
The 5½-year-old, who has cerebral palsy, has been “desperate” to get her own bike after her twin sister received one earlier in the year.
But her mother Amna Hafeez said, it wasn’t as easy as purchasing one “from Kmart”.
“Having cerebral palsy has meant there are many things I feel she misses out on because of her mobility but with the help of her physiotherapist Rowena Keenan, a special bike has been made for her, so now she doesn’t have to miss out,” she said.
