Mallee race missed by federal election commentators

MALLEE escaping the radar of many political commentators showed how far out of mind the electorate is in urban areas and Canberra, according to independent Ray Kingston.

The Nationals candidate Anne Webster will today be declared the seat’s winner after a prolonged count.

Mallee, first seat to be called in 2013, was the last of the country’s 151 seats being declared this year.
