Crisis point: MASP running out of tents as ‘last resort’ for homeless

MILDURA’S rate of homelessness is at crisis point with support services struggling to cater for the most vulnerable.

Women and children seeking to escape domestic violence make up a significant portion of those desperate for basic, everyday needs, but there are warnings the situation is getting worse by the day.

Mildura’s rate of homelessness has jumped by more than 10 per cent in the past three years, while housing availability and affordability has become increasingly prohibitive.
