Station is next stop

NEW Environment Minister Sussan Ley will visit Toorale Station next week to inspect infrastructure that last month potentially stopped a flow on the Darling River from reaching at least Menindee.

Ms Ley, who was yesterday formally declared the Member for Farrer, will visit Toorale as part of a tour of northern NSW next week.

Sunraysia Daily last month reported on an expanse of water – estimated to be 10km long and up to 2km wide – that was on the floodplain of the lower Warrego River and had been stopped from reaching the Darling River by Boera Dam and other infrastrucutre on the property.
