TOM Voigt still has sleepless nights over an incident in 1998 when he tackled, disarmed and restrained an armed offender.

He was awarded the Commendation for Brave Conduct medal in 2000 and on Saturday night was among almost 30 people who gathered in Mildura for the Australian Bravery Association’s annual Sunraysia get-together.

While Mr Voigt, who travelled from Geelong for the event, is still humble about “doing what anyone would of done in the same situation”, he is thankful for people he has met through the Australian Bravery Association.
