Hartlett's injury blow

IMPERIALS coach Adam Hartlett’s season is in doubt after the key forward went down with another Achilles tendon injury early in his side’s 83-point hammering of Merbein, at Kenny Park on Saturday.

Hartlett, 33, missed most of last year after rupturing the Achilles tendon in his other leg. It was understood he would undergo scans in Adelaide tomorrow to find out the extent of the damage.

Despite the big win on Saturday, the Imperials’ changerooms were somewhat sombre, particularly when club president Peter O’Donnell addressed the group to give them an update about Hartlett’s injury.
