SWAN Hill Rural City Council (SHRCC) is more than six months behind on a promise to deliver a population count of Robinvale.
It is widely believed that the results of the most recent Census, which claims the town has a population of just 3313 people, is inaccurate.
The council has admitted in the past the population figure is “closer to 5000 or 6000” with director development and planning Heather Green telling Sunraysia Daily in August last year that the “implications of federal and state governments not having accurate residential figures could mean Robinvale is adversely affected”.
