ACCC report 'puts the industry on notice' over wine grape prices

MURRAY Valley Winegrowers (MVW) has welcomed the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission’s (ACCC) interim report which says harmful market practices are restricting competition in the region.

Executive officer Mike Stone yesterday said the report had covered all the issues MVW had raised in its submission to the market watchdog.

“Basically they have covered off on all the significant issues that we, for one, have been raising with them for many, many years,” he said.
