Victoria Police aims for safer workplaces

VICTORIA Police says it will not be satisfied until every one of its employees in Mildura and across the state, can go to work as their “authentic self”.

To mark yesterday’s International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia, a special report was released: Proud, visible, safe: Responding to Workplace Harm Experienced by LGBTI Employees at Victoria Police.

Chief Commissioner Graham Ashton commissioned the Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission (VEOHRC) in early 2018 to conduct the review, which focused on the experiences and impact of workplace harm on its lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) community.
