Hair ripped away by girl, 15

A SCHOOLGIRL has pleaded guilty to an assault outside Cotton On in Mildura’s Langtree Mall.

The 15-year-old and a co-accused went into the store and asked a victim, who was known to the accused, to go outside and “sort out some stuff”.

The victim was then grabbed by the hair and repeatedly punched in the face by the accused.

A staff member from the shop came out and twice separated the girls. The victim suffered scratch marks and had hair ripped from her scalp.

In separate incident last November, the accused was caught shoplifting at Factory and Ally Fashion at Mildura Central despite being banned from the centre at the time.

On Thursday her solicitor told a children’s court there had been an ongoing feud between the two.

The accused was on a good behaviour bond after pleading guilty to theft and intentionally causing injury in March.

The court placed her on a further bond for a period of 12 months.
